Youth face difficulties when entering the labour market. Of particular concern are those who are not employed and are not in education and training (NEET), as they are characterized by low motivation/self-confidence as well as insufficient interest in social events and inadequate skills to find gainful employment. According to statistical data, the NEET rate of the Republic of Serbia (RS) is 20.7%, almost 5 p.p. higher compared to the EU’s average (the Statistical office of the Republic of Serbia, 2020; Eurostat, 2020). NEET are usually young people without labour skills, with lower education, and mostly they live in rural areas (Djukic, Pavlovic, 2021). In the Republic of Serbia (RS), NEET rate has been shown to be higher in rural than urban areas (Ognjenović, Kuzmanov, Pavlović, 2021) by 2.2 p.p. Dragan Stanojević and Dejana Pavlović
